Monica FriedaANDERTONMonica Frieda Anderton, also known as Monica Gibbs, left us peacefully in the Freeman Hospital on 4th February 2026, aged 78 years, after a short illness.
Wife of the late Dudley Gibbs, beloved mother of Tanya and former Clerk or Secretary to various parish councils, trusts and business organisations in Northumberland and Durham, Monica will be missed by all who knew her.
No funeral; a memorial gathering will be held at The Great North Hotel, Gosforth, at 11:00 on 28th February.
